PRP & PRF Aftercare
Your own platelets are doing the work. Give them a clean, calm surface to work on.
The first 24 hours
- Leave the skin bare for the rest of the day — no makeup for 24 hours.
- No washing the treated area for 6–8 hours if microneedled.
- Use only gentle cleanser and a bland moisturiser for 3 days.
- No retinoids, acids, vitamin C or exfoliants for 5–7 days.
- No gym, sauna, steam or swimming for 48 hours.
- Avoid direct sun; use a mineral SPF from day two onward.
- For hair PRP: no washing for 24 hours, no colouring for 72 hours.
What's normal
Redness, warmth, a sunburn feeling24–48 hours is typical.
Mild swellingEspecially under the eyes, for a day or two.
Bruising at draw or injection sitesCommon and short-lived.
Dryness or light flakingAround day 3–5 if microneedling was used.
What happens when
- Week 1Skin looks fresher as the initial response settles.
- Week 3–4Collagen response becomes visible.
- 3 sessions, 4–6 weeks apartThe usual course for a full result.
