Threads need you to be gentle with your face for a couple of weeks while they anchor and collagen builds.
The first 24 hours
- Sleep on your back, head elevated, for the first week.
- No facial massage, facials or dermal rolling for 4 weeks.
- Keep facial expressions gentle for the first week — no wide yawning or big chewing where you can help it.
- Soft foods for a few days.
- No gym, sauna or steam for 1 week.
- No dental work for 2 weeks.
- Sleep and shower carefully — don't scrub the entry points.
What's normal
Tightness or a pulling sensationNormal for 1–2 weeks as things settle.
Swelling and bruisingUsually most noticeable for the first week.
Small dimples at entry pointsTypically resolve within 1–2 weeks.
Mild asymmetry early onVery common while swelling is uneven.
What happens when
