Botox & Dysport Aftercare

The first 24 hours matter most. Here's exactly what to do — and what to leave alone.

The first 24 hours

  • Stay upright for 4 hours. No lying flat, no face-down massage, no napping.
  • Move the treated muscles gently for the first hour — frown, raise, squint. It helps the product settle where it was placed.
  • No rubbing, pressing or massaging the treated area for 24 hours.
  • Skip the gym, sauna, steam and hot yoga for 24 hours.
  • No facials, microdermabrasion, lasers or peels for 2 weeks.
  • Go easy on alcohol for 24 hours — it increases bruising.
